COP 27- some hopes midst of chaos
Climate Change is Happening Now- Time to Take Action!

Do you know what you can do to save the Earth?
- Take shorter showers
- Turn off the water when brushing teeth
- Replace bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs
- Turn off lights when not in use
- Unplug computers, TVs and other electronics when you are not using them
- Keep your refrigerators temperature set at a medium-cool temperature
- Make sure your printer paper is 100% post-consumer recycled paper. The paper industry is the third greatest contributor to global warming emissions
- Print or copy on both sides of the paper whenever possible
- Manage your bills & bank accounts online with paperless statements as much as possible
- Buy used books, visit local library, give your used book to others
- Buy paper products instead of plastic if you must buy disposables
- Avoid buying food or household products in plastic
- Use locally made paper or garment (cloths) bags while going to the stores/shopping malls
- Encourage/insist on recycling in the workplace
- Use washable coffee mugs instead of disposable cups
- Buy and promote toys for your kids made out of wood, clay, garments
- Use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible
- Ride your bike or walk
- Advocate for bike lanes in your community
- Where possible, use electric vehicles instead of those that burn fossil fuels
- Where possible use public transport and lobby for safe and fair transportation services
- Store food in re-usable containers instead of plastic wrap or aluminum foil
- Buy locally-grown food and locally-made products when and where possible
- Don’t waste food
- Promote local green economy
- Avoid using pesticides used vegetables
- Start talking about the impact of climate change with your family members and communities
- Write stories, poems, and develop videos to talk and inspires others about nature & earth
- Take videos and photos and share in social media to show impact of climate change in your communities, agricultural patterns, water systems, and natural disasters
- Where possible provide and mobilize humanitarian support to those facing natural disasters
- Plant Trees and take community actions to plant trees
- Ask your local government representatives to integrate actionable items, budget allocation and monitor their implementation to protect Earth
